Ovalle was convicted in January 1999, for Conspiracy to Distribute
a Controlled Substance, specifically methamphetamine. He
received a sentence of 151 months. In August 2002, Ovalle was
transferred to a community corrections center in Phoenix, Arizona.
He escaped from that facility on September 8, 2002.
In October, 2002, Ovalle was indicted on the charge of Escape
from Federal Custody and a warrant of arrest was issued by the
United States District Court in Phoenix.
Ovalle has a criminal history that includes arrests for making
threats, criminal damage and a narcotics violation.
Ovalle is a resident of Phoenix with a very large family living
in the Phoenix metropolitan area. He is believed to be
hiding in the valley with the assistance of associates.
Ovalle is a former member of the street gang known as the 18 th
Street Tiny Diablos.
