U.S.
Marshals Service Arrests Fugitive Profiled on America's Most Wanted
in Phoenix, AZ
On
July 7, 2003, a no-bond arrest warrant was issued for Douglas
Alan Wistrom for illegal possession of unregistered firearms and
aiding and abetting. Wistrom was a known member of the
Hells Angels outlaw biker gang.
On
September 11, 2004, Wistrom was featured on the Fox Television
Program, America's Most Wanted.
On
October 18, 2004, at 1400 hours, Deputies for the U.S. Marshals
Service HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Traffic Area) fugitive task
force tracked Wistrom to a residence near Thomas Road and 7 th
Street, in Phoenix, AZ. When approached by deputies, Wistrom
surrendered, was placed under arrest, and transported to the Federal
Courthouse in Phoenix, AZ.
The
Marshals Service has a long history of providing assistance
and expertise to other federal, state and local law enforcement
agencies in support of their fugitive investigations.
Deputy Marshals currently participate in 132 cooperative
task forces around the country, and the Marshals
Service is the lead agency in 83 of them. The majority
of the task forces are full-time efforts; however, some
are ad hoc groupings which operate only in response to
a specific case or a targeted group of fugitives. The Marshals
Service arrested more than 36,000 federal felons last year, which
is more than all other law enforcement agencies combined .

In
July 2003, Douglas Wistrom was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury
in Phoenix, Arizona for Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
According to the indictment, Wistrom possessed a sawed-off rifle
during the course of an undercover investigation conducted by
the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE).
Wistrom was one of over thirty individuals charged with
various narcotics and firearms crimes as a result of the ATFE
investigation of members and associates of the Hell Angels Motorcycle
Club.
Wistrom
is an alleged member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Hells Angels.
Wistrom has prior arrests for Possession of Narcotics,
Theft, Weapons Violations, and Contempt of Court. Wistrom's
last known address is 1935 East Solano, Phoenix, Arizona.
Wistrom has ties to the Phoenix area through associates and other
members of the Hells Angels.
Based
upon the nature of the charge, his criminal history and his gang
affiliation; Wistrom should be considered armed and dangerous.
