Acting on a tip from U.S. Marshals in Arizona, U.S Marshals in California captured the following fugitive in Long Beach California on May 11, 2004.

 

FUGITIVE: Ernie MURILLO

AKA's: Jose Ignacio Basilio, Ernie Basilio Murillo, Eric Nunez, Jose Murillo, and Jose E. Murillo

Race:     Hispanic   Hair:   Black       Height:     5'8”   

Sex:     Male     DOB:   04/20/1972 Weight:     300 lbs

Eyes:     Brown     POB:   California   

Tattoos:   Upper left arm picture of an Eight Ball, Right arm “Carmen”

 

  On March 22, 2004 Ernie MURILLO was burglarizing vehicles at the Peoria Sports Complex during a spring training game. He was subsequently arrested by the Peoria Police Department. During the arrest MURILLO attempted to flee in a vehicle and dragged a Peoria Police Officer 160 feet before stopping. After his arrest MURILLO bonded out of jail and has failed to appear for his court appearances.

 

  A warrant for MURILLO's arrest was issued on March 26, 2004, by Maricopa County Superior Court for aggravated assault on a police officer, three counts of burglary, and possession of burglary tools. MURILLO has a history of weapons violations, and is also wanted for failure to appear on other charges from 2000.
