On
September 29, 2005, a felony arrest warrant was issued for Robert
James Gabbard by the Kitsap County Superior Court, WA for Custodial
Interference in the First Degree (by parent), and kidnapping.
Bail is fixed at $250,000.00.
In
June 2005, Gabbard had permission to take his two children on
a trip to Arizona
for three
weeks. In August 2005, Gabbard asked an Arizona Judge for
custody of his children, but was told that Washington
State
had jurisdiction
over the case. Gabbard hired a lawyer in WA to pursue custody.
After one court appearance, the lawyer withdrew from the
case due to lack of communication from Gabbard. The children
are both boys, ages 10 and 7.
Gabbard's
criminal history includes arrest for possession of fireworks,
driving on a suspended license, disorderly conduct, possession
of marijuana, misconduct involving a weapon, assault, criminal
damage, theft, possession of a false driver's license, and issuing
bad checks.
He
is reported to have a girlfriend named Alana Ely and might be
staying near 69
th Avenue
and Deer Valley
Road .
He could also be near 79
th Avenue
and Union Hills.
