              On May 15, 2003,    Phoenix resident Erick Serna was arrested in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma while driving his vehicle.   In the vehicle, authorities discovered over 105 pounds of pure cocaine.   Despite the amount of narcotics, Serna was released from custody on bond with the understanding that he would reside with his parents, Enrique and Teresa Serna, in the Maryvale area of Phoenix.   Serna returned to Phoenix and was placed on electronic monitoring by the courts.  

 

              On June 11, 2003, a warrant for Serna's arrest was issued by the United States District Court after Serna removed the electronic monitoring bracelet and fled.  

 

              Serna has many family members and associates in the Phoenix area.   Additionally, Serna has family members in California and in Mexico.   Serna has a history of involvement in street racing and has attended events in the past at Firebird International Raceway.  

 

              Serna's criminal history includes arrests for Failure to Appear and the arrest in this case.
