Passing Between the Earth and the Sun

NASA'S
TRACE SPACECRAFT CAPTURES THE VENUS TRANSIT
NASA's Transition Region and Coronal Explorer (TRACE) captured
these spectacular views of Venus as it crossed the face of the
Sun for the first time in 122 years. Residents in the eastern
U.S. had a chance to see the end of the transit that ended about
7:30 EDT.
